1. Know What ID is Necessary:
US visitors arriving to Canada by land need proof of citizenship and photo ID - not necessarily a passport - but these requirements are set to change under the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI).If you're planning a trip to Canada, you should note that passport requirements are different for visitors driving across the border and those arriving by plane. 2. Have ID Ready to Present to Border Officer:
